Caron Butler - G/F - Mavericks

Caron Butler (back) remains questionable for Wednesday's showdown with the Hornets.
Dallas just snapped the Hornets eight-game win streak on Monday without Butler, who has now missed three consecutive games. "It's game-time decision," coach Rick Carlisle said. "He's continuing to go in the right direction, so we'll see." Nov. 16 - 4:40 p.m. ET

Wall remains on crutches, but the injury is not a long-term concern as the Wizards are still listing him as day-to-day. Consider him questionable for Wednesday's game in Boston. Meanwhile, Gilbert Arenas will likely start his first game since Jan. 5 and is a high-end fantasy play. With the ball in his hands as the point guard for the whole game, Arenas' shot attempts and assists will rise dramatically.

We suspect Williams will exercise caution here after a groin injury cost him so much time in the preseason, but we won't know for sure until about an hour before tipoff. Ramon Sessions would start if Williams can't. Ryan Hollins has been starting when Varejao has missed games, but isn't a fantasy option. For what it's worth, coach Byron Scott said that Varejao is closer to playing than Williams.

Boozer continues to take baby steps toward a return to the court. The next step will be to get cleared for a full practice, then he'll finally get cleared to play. That early December target date still seems accurate. The pace of Boozer's recovery should allow him to make an instant impact upon his return.

John Wall (ankle) won't play on Tuesday and coach Flip Saunders isn't sure if he'll travel with the team to Boston for Wednesday's game.
The Wizards are naturally being cautious with their prized rookie, which is made easier with a healthy Gilbert Arenas at their disposal. We should soon have updates on Wall's status. Nov. 16 - 6:07 p.m. ET

Anderson Varejao - F/C - Cavaliers

Anderson Varejao (ribs) will play for the Cavaliers on Tuesday.
He was questionable coming in, but if you can get him into your starting lineups it should be safe to do so. His return will crush whatever meager value fill-in starter Ryan Hollins may have had in his absence. Nov. 16 - 6:37 p.m. ET
